2007 Rd rage gt
Been reading and using this forum for a while but just signed up because I'm stumped. The gf rolled our 07 rage on the road which hit the skid hard knocking off an idler wheel and now the rear suspension has no travel. It sits in the bottomed out position. I can pick up the rear bumper raising the travel to the top but when I let go it falls right down to the bottom position with zero suspension left. I pulled the monoshock and it appears ok..? I pulled the transfer rod and it appears broken. The shaft has no resistance and just moves freely back and forth 3-4 inches. Could the broken transfer rod be my problem? My understanding is that it's only used to adjust transfer weight to the skis or track. Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Transfer rod is not broke if it slide freely. To me it sounds like the something is not allow the skid to stroke. Even if the shock was shot, the spring is so big it will being the sled back up it would just be bouncy. Are the rods along side of the mono shock straight?

Thanks or the help. As it turns out the suspension is working just really stiff.

Mono shock. Rod will not change the ride, it will only change the transfer.

Your Dial adjust cable is probably broken and won't work ! If it doesn't do anything then just cut the cable off by the shock and the dial on the tunnel, Then unscrew the end on the shock and take out the little pc of square cable end and use a # 2 Square bit and turn it counter clockwise to full loose . Mine broke 3 times and I haven't got a adjuster cable on either of my Vectors. Barn of parts has a nice tool for adjust the setting on your shock. 07 still had the weak front arm check to make sure it's not broken or cracked. There are several threads on beefing this up just do a google search.

- Bought a new 05 Vector which I still have
24K miles
There might not be zerks on this skid. I'd bet that something is in the skid is bent or the tunnel could be bent and this is preventing the skid for going up and down freely. She must have hit something pretty hard to knock an idler off!

Oh there's zerks... trust me.There might not be zerks on this skid. I'd bet that something is in the skid is bent or the tunnel could be bent and this is preventing the skid for going up and down freely. She must have hit something pretty hard to knock an idler off!
I do agree something is possibly bent. As earlier stated, even if the shock is blown, the spring alone would move the scissors. But if it's all rusted up & full of debris from neglect, that will freeze it up or at least move very poorly.
I've witnessed an indy 500 skid freeze in the compressed position from never being greased, and it was a low mileage sled too.
