any input on what mileage to change track at ?
my ripsaw has seen 7000 miles of aggressive trail ride. still looks good.
i'm very intersted in switching to cobra but wonder if i can safely squeeze another 3000 miles outta this one ? is used ripsaw worth much ?
few years back i had about 9,000 miles on an older v-max, (3/4 camoplast) it spit some picks thru the front cooler, not interested in doing a repair like that again ?

yamadog... I just swapped mine with 8,800 miles on it... still had life just one torn off lug and did it for safety as the wife rides it now.

i have seen shock-eyelet rub through track and peel track apart-8000+mi,take a close look at inside center!

Wow 7000, 8000 miles out of a ripsaw! That's awesome! I've blown one at 5000M, and seen another blow at 4500. They both looked good when they de-laminated.
I currently have 5500 on this one and worried it will fail.
Maybe I'll run it another season......based on the mileage you guys are getting.

i also have a buddy who had a ripsaw fail around 5000 mi.
it looked to be in good shape, it wripped in half doing 80 mph down the trail. we couldn't believe it.

I guess it's how you ride it and how it is stored.. I store my sleds indoors in winter and summer and also dont power slide through corners.... I run top speeds, but not agressive in the corners.

For peace of mind, I say swap it out for the Cobra, especially with all the positive reports on the Cobra track.

You probably could recoup some cash by selling the used Ripsaw too, espeicially if it still looks good.

Mine has 11,000 miles on it. It has lugs torn off on at least 1/3 of it. I don't want to replace it due to cost but after reading this I may. The loss of performance due to missing lugs doesn't bother me but shredding the track does!!
