Last ride of the season in march, I broke the link on the wife's FX. (2nd time)
Dealer said to bring it back next fall, and guess what, now they said the updated parts are on backorder from Yamaha. They tried ordering the old parts and those are not available either.
Anybody else having problems getting the new parts???
I guess I might have to weld and gusset the old part myself . . . Lotta good the 5 year warranty is doing

Yeah I guess all I can say is my dealer is good yamaha itself has me wondering. I was told the new part which just comes out of the 08 phazer was going to be availible in mid november. But now they got new info. They told me the new part at best will be here in early January. "What the (&*(@" So my dealer is gonna put the old style link back in and got approval from Yamaha to put the new link in when it gets here. But why the hassle. I guess for not being part of the recall it sure does have a high demand. Yamiee junk is all I can say, sell me a bump sled and then have no good parts. Now I'm just gonna have rely on my spare sled 2002 mxz 500 that never let me down and I bought the new sled because I was worried about it breaking.

:die yamiee parts suppliers!!!

Maybe only some of the regional distributers are out?I got mine in two days.I can check to see if they are now on backorder in my area.

Looks like the new link has way more demand than supply!
Definitely don't want to risk missing out on the first ride of the year, or listening to the wife complain about her sled waiting for Yamaha to build enough links to go around.
Had to resort to backup plan, pulled the rear skid, sent out the shocks for a revalve (Pioneer) and pops welded up the old link. (thanks dad) It should be stronger than it was.
The factory part is chincy and once people get miles on their Phazers more will have the problem!

Well it could be worse I'm suppost to take my sled to my dealer wed. and they are calling for 8in of the white stuff that day. I am about to say to hell with the recall it's time to sled
