That still didn't really make sence as i do not want full coverage just PLPD but whatever. But i said that if i was to insure it this fall and not right now that my sleds value would be less, and they said that is true so i will just have to wait this fall to get my insurance, which is no big deal as the season is over in a week. Thanks everyone, i was not going to call back but then i found out you guys are able to get insurance on your apex so i thought i'd try again and see whats up. So you just saved me alot of money becasue i know TD is pretty cheap.

I would atleast have fire and theft, never leave a sled without insurance , i know many times left the old polaris at the road with the keys in it and nobody stole it, but a brand new apex for the takin is quite appetizing. never know cuz have had my truck broke into 3 times in the past year , stole $1700 worth of nail guns, compressor , table saw, skil saw and my poineer cd player and ipod and my alarm went off but no one was there to hear it at 3am. never know anymore. just an FYI for ya. better safe then sorry.

Yah fire and theft might be a good idea. But i live in a pretty small town, only 3300 people live in atikokan. So for things getting stolen atikokan is pretty safe as i have not heard of a sled getting stolen for a long time, and i can't recal and vehicles being stolen also. I always leave my sled in my back yard right by my window with the cover on it and the key out during the winter, and it is locked up in my garage at out cabin during the summer. So i think i can get away with PLPD. My dad pays $126 for his 06 rage so i'm hoping i cant get my 07 apex for under $200. But i only have my G2 still, just havent had a chance to go get my G license. So i'll find out this fall. But whatever it is i'm paying it becasue it's worth it. Jord

Ya just never know. I live beside my father who's been there about 30-years, and never an issue. A couple months ago, my ZR9 was stolen out of my locked garage next door. I only put insurance back on a week before so thought TD may find that ironic, but they stroked me a check anyway...thankfully!

Here's an update. With the season getting close i thought i would give TD a call again as the 08's are out which makes my sled worth less. Well i called them, told them my age, that i only have a G2 driver's license and asked for all 3 quotes. Full coverage, fire and thieft, and PLPD. I have no speeding tickets or convictions at all. Here's the prices on my 2007 Apex GT...
Full coverage - $551
Fire and thief - $326
PLPD - $126!!!
I was surprised that my insurance is only going to be $126 for being 19 and having only a G2 drivers license, but he told me they do not look at your age or what type of drivers license you have when it comes to insuring snowmobiles. This is by far the cheapest place to insure snowmobiles that i know of. If you are not insuring thought TD canada trust, i would give them a call for a quote. You can't do a online quote on their website, you have to call them to get a quote. It only takes 10 minutes. Jord
