I have EIRE on everything... 2 cars, a trailer and a house. They added my 07 ATTAK for $85 per year, full coverage(no medical). The next closest was FOREMOST at $285.
P.S. I just did this 1 month ago.

Yes and no.
The yes part - generally liability coverage for the trailer exists as long as it is being pulled by "your covered auto"
The no part - there is no property coverage for the trailer itself under most policies. The trailer would have to be insured separately.

I think I just got my low bid!
Nationwide Insurance just quoted me full coverage on my Apex GT and comp and collison on my clamshell trailer for $170.00 per year with $500 deductibles on the sled and $250 deductibles on the trailer.
I should mention that this figure is for just a sled and trailer policy, I don't have any other policy discounts (Home, auto etc). The only other factors were my age (31), the fact that I own my home, and that I have a clean driving history 3yrs back.
I found it intersting that my first $304 quoted premium with Foremost morphed into a $417 premium simply because agent found out I had a GT and not the ER
The agent said that although the engine on the GT is the same, the GT attracts a certain type of owner who is likely to incur more risk to the insurer!

What a racket!!
I pay $32.00 for a 06 Attak just liability. State Farm.
Allstate does my house, and cars. My agent would not even give me the quote for the sled when I asked him because it was so high he was embarressed.
GT and ER difference????? Makes no sense. I would think a GT is for a older, more level headed rider as they are more expensive. An ER I would think for a younger, crazier rider. Same engine, but cheaper. JMO!

Some of you posting here have to remember that he is in Wisconsin. If you are in a different state you have different insurance laws and requirements. It's hard to compare the rates from state to state. Also, he is looking for full coverage, if you don't carry full than your rate is going to be a lot less.
In Michigan, I think the least expensive way to cover the trailer is add it to your auto policy; My $3500 trailer with $100 deductibles on comp and collision = $23.60/6 months. Also, our independent agency writes for Foremost and they have allowed us to lower liability limits, remove collision, etc in the off-season; this would reduce the annual outlay when comparing to other companies who don't allow ANY changes.
When you're getting quotes, be sure and ask if if Wisconsin policies have "uninsured/underinsured liability" available. If they do, buy the MAX benefit. This allows you to go back against your own company for your injuries caused by a driver with little or no insurance (of which there are many out there). Without the additonal coverage you can sue the other driver, but if he/she has no assets, you're probably out of luck. I consider it the most important part of my policy; If I had to, I could somehow recover from a totaled $10K sled, but if I'm disabled and unable to go back to work... well that's another story.
