I just bought an 07 Apex GT. I called TD Canada Trust but they wont even insure my machine. I have had no speeding tickets, no claims or anything on my record. All i want is basic coverage, i dont need collision or anything, just PLPD. So where are people getting this and what are you paying?? They said the Apex is too high risk. Jord

I switch every thing over to TD Insurance early this year before I purchased the Apex. At that time I still had the F7. In March when I purchased the Apex added to the policy no problem, then again I'm an old fart (50+) which may have something to do with it.

That's the first I've heard that TD doesn't insure a 1000cc sled. Who were you with previously and big was your sled? :dunno:

I say give them a call again, maybe it was just a misinformed operator.

I am with TD as well, 06 Apex ER.They will only insure up to $15,000.00 if you report the value including taxes over this, they will not cover you. My friend had this problem with his 07 Mach.

FOUND TD INSURANCE TO BE YOUR BEST BET , I PAY $631 FOR AN 06 ATTAK WITH COLLISON , ICE RECOVERY, LIABILITY, AND FIRE AND THEFT. KILLER DEAL SINCE I'M ONLY 21 AND HAVE 1 SPEEDIN TICKET . I HAD RIDER PLUS (WHEN YOU BUY YOUR TRIAL PASS 2 YEARS AGO WAS PROVIED WITH A PHONE NUMBER AND MUST HAVE A TRAIL PASS , THE NEW SLEDDERS CHOICE THING MAY BE CHEAPER BUT THE OLD RIDER PLUS WAS TERRIBLE , WANTED SOME $$$725 FOR AN 1998 SRX WITHOUT COLLISON AND ICE RECOVERY . ANYWAYS JUST MY 2 CENTS

I'll have to call them again. This is my first offical sled registered under my name. And i'm 19 so maybe they see that age group and say no way. I might have to register my sled under my dad's name i will see. I'll have to call them again. Thanks, Jord.

They should insure you shouldn't see why not, had the srx insured for 1.5 years and other places wouldn't insure me for that. some places told em 600 and up no way. did u give them all your information cuz they would give u a quote unless they have all your info , and what kind of drivers lisence do u have, might have something to do with it

youre right on that one, went to change last nov cause it was suppose to be the cheapest place until they ask you to insure your car wich was more by $200,what a deal, save $100 on both sled and raise the car by $200.TD is where i've been insured for the last 4 years,$240 no collision for the warrior

I had same problem down here in the states trying to insure my rage. Paying over 800.00. My daughter and son-in-law had to change all their house, auto insurance to one company for them to take their sleds, A attak and a rage. My Polaris two strokes, although similiar in hp were smaller cc and cheaper to insure. plowking

i switched my car insurance to and it was cheaper then local insurance in this part of the province by 200.00 dollars it doesnt work for ever one

I just called back and the reason they would not insure me right now is that the replacement value of my sled is $15,000 as i have the 07 GT, and that is over their limit. That still didn't really make sence as i do not want full coverage just PLPD but whatever. But i said that if i was to insure it this fall and not right now that my sleds value would be less, and they said that is true so i will just have to wait this fall to get my insurance, which is no big deal as the season is over in a week. Thanks everyone, i was not going to call back but then i found out you guys are able to get insurance on your apex so i thought i'd try again and see whats up. So you just saved me alot of money becasue i know TD is pretty cheap.
