Just orderd a 144 extension kit for my Apex GT. I don't do a lot of real deep powder riding although most of my riding is off trail or ungroomed trail. I don't think I need a 1.75 track. Was thinking about either the Cobra 1.5 or Crossover 1.5. Any thoughts or suggestions. Also I have 23/40 gearing now with Ulmer stage 2 clutching. Will this setup work for the 144 or will I have to re-gear again?

I am running a 1.5x144 Crossover with 21/38 (1.80) gearing. Your 23/40 (1.73) is slightly taller. Since you have Ulmer's setup already, call him and ask. He was very helpful when I called him with the same question. Called looking to buy a clutch kit and after talking to him, he suggested just a regear. Works great!!

I will get in touch with Allan eventually. Just kinda hoping I won't have to re-gear it after spending the money last season to get what I have now. Just sick of pulling it out of the snow. I'm too old and that sled is too heavy in deep snow.
