I'm sure this question has been asked a thousand times but i'll ask it again. I tried using the search deature but it was coming up with any and every topic unrelated to exhaust.
This will be my frist full year with my Apex and I'd like to lighten her up a bit. I was thinking of starting with the exhaust since some of the kits claim between 9-12 lbs abd even gain a few hp.
What exhaust systems are there for the Apex? I was talking to a buddy of mine who had an RX1 and he threw a few names out there. Hauck was one of them. He didnt like th equality of the Hauck kit though.
There was another kit out there I wanna say the name began with a B but it was an all stainless steel exhaust in the $800 range.
Now let me say this. I'm not really looking for loud. I dont mind it a little bit louder than stock seeing how its a pretty quiet sled. I would like something that sounds good though.
So whats out there. Anyone wanna give any good/bad experiences with whatever brand they have used??
Thanks

exhaust
I just received an exhaust from Aaron @ Excell Motorsports for my Attack. Although it's not installed yet, the quality of Aarons product is absolutely outstanding. I am quite impressed by the workmanship in both the exhaust metal and plastic parts that close it up. I had a White Knuckle for my RX1 that was a good product, however Aarons is simply a much nicer piece. You get what you pay for. Good Job Aaron.

I looked at the Excell, It looks like i nice kit but i don't like the filler panels for the old exhaust and how the new one exits under the rear tail light. I know alot of ppl like it but id just rather it look factory. I kinda like my pipes exiting on the sides.

Well i hope you like it LOUD cause thats what you get with most all of them, but the one i rode that was the best power and least noisy was the excell,i had the hauck and it made it slower and so freeken loud no one including myself wanted to ride any where near me,your choice,oh ya the excell does not require any kind of fuel controler.LT1MCSS said:I looked at the Excell, It looks like i nice kit but i don't like the filler panels for the old exhaust and how the new one exits under the rear tail light. I recent;y bought an attak with an excel and I'm blown away...it is top notch in every area...to me it looks how the OEM's should have.

Yes thats what i thought to steve,i know it felt much more effecient than my hauck exhaust i had,now maybe the hauck was just to rich, according to turk his fuel controler reduces fuel, but the one we hooked up did not,and it was pig rich,to bad cause i payed alot of green backs to find out it was slower.sj said:I recent;y bought an attak with an excel and I'm blown away...it is top notch in every area...to me it looks how the OEM's should have.

I checked out the ultra q. That one doesn't look to bad. Doesn't look like to many people are running it yet though so feeback might be a little low.
I talked to my buddy again to see which exhaust he was talking about that was stainless steel. He said it was the Bender. Did a search online and i didnt come up with the Bender RX1/Apex system. I think he was talking about the White Knuckle performance QC-1 or GP-1 stainless system.

Try "Mountain Performance". They make after market exhaust for Apex.[/i]

I have an Excell exhaust on my Attak which I had on an Apex last year. Nice power kick and a nice, but, not ignorant bark. The fit and finish go nicely with the sled too.

The GP and QC exhausts from White Knuckle are for the RX 1. They make 2 versions for the Apex, both the same noise but different outlets for mountian riders that strap stuff on. Had one, too loud for me but a good sound. Went to a Bender, quieter; haven't gotten to ride it yet. Bender told me that they found they had to use stainless to prevent cracking when the exhaust gets hit with snow. Both weigh about the same, quite a bit lighter than stock but I can't remember the numbers. My 2 cents.

i got a whit knuckel for my rage they have one for the apex now toohttp://www.whiteknuckleperformance.c ... xhaust.htm
I am having a under tunnel (possiblly) made by Sled Tech. If the under tunnel does not work than an exhaust similar to the excell but with custom aluminum side panels to replace stock exhaust. Sled Tech is into custom fabrication and not mass production so fit and finish looks to be the best out there. Hope to see some dyno runs soon, not loud but a nice bark to scare those cats back up there trees.
