with all the posts on Facebook and here about frozen relays causing cutout, backfiring, not starting...etc, someone needs to invent a relay blanket that operates on low voltage. Maybe a switch on the dash that you can turn on in extreme temps. Thoughts?

I am also interested in any type of fix. Yesterday morning my fuel pump relay was frozen up, sled wouldn't start until I pulled it and heated it up. (I had error code sd-43 ) Felt great to have happen on my very expensive sled when my buddies '06 ski-poo fired right up. Anyone know if a solid state is available, like the replacement red relay we needed on the Apex's?
Hopefully Kevin from Port will be able to answer that. If solid state isn't available, this relay blanket would sell like hot cakes.I am also interested in any type of fix. What I was thinking of doing is taking a heated grip element and sticking to the inside of the fuse box over the relays and wiring a toggle switch inline with the battery and if its below say 10* F, flip it on for a few minutes and warm up the relays before starting it. May or may not work but may be closest thing to a "blanket" as you can get for now.

You can use a glove hand heater, it works.
Right, but requires panel and hood removal. Even the blanket is a band aid idea. Be nice if we had better relays available mYou can use a glove hand heater, it works.

Had some frozen stuff on a older sled. Pee’d on it. It worked.

These look like the same boxes we had on the 1100’s and never had an issue. Is it just location?
