According to the spec. The Phazer shall have 0W-30 oil, but if you check the Yamahas oilchangekit they have in that kit 0W-40.
So which oil should I use? Should I use Yamaalube or can I use which oil I want with the same spec.? I have looked at Castrol Edge 0W-30 which is a good oil for cars.

Im not usually the kind of guy to take my vehicles back to the dealer or always buy my parts from the dealer, but I can tell you I believe Yamalube is the best oil you can run in your sled. Probably nothing wrong with castrol synthetic oils products in your cars, but I've never heard anyone really promoting that product for our sleds. You bought the best, maintain it with the best. On the viscosity thing, your yamaha says run 0w-30 not 0w-40. They've spent a lot of time figuring out the right oils for their machines, do as they recommend. AND always change the oil filter with the oil, no matter what a pain in the a-- it may be, although they say it'll last for a ton more miles than the oil itself.

According to Yamalube spec. the 0W-30 oil is just semi-synthetic but the 0W-40 is fully synthetic.
As I had understood it´s better with fully synthetic?

Just find a good fully syn 0w40 oil, made for sleds or ATV's and use it. Mobil1 0w40 European Car formula is also good. Don't use oil made for car or anything that says "energy conserving"in it. Those have friction modifiers that aren't compatible with our motors. Amsoil 0w40 is the best IMHO, but if they keep jacking up their prices I'm switching to Mobil 1.

Yamaha semi 0W 30 or the full 0W40 and the amsoil 0w40 are all good choices.

Seems like here in Sweden they don´t have 0W-40 only 0W-30. Bu tmy dealer wont order home that for me ( they don´t normally sell snowmobile stuff).
But I have found that Castrol have a snowmobile oil 0W-40 fully so I will call and see if someone here around can order home 1 for me of that.
Amsoil: I can not find here in Sweden
