Just see who has installed Duraflex Ice Scratchers? I just bought a set, but and wondering where the best place would be to mount them? On the ski or on the rail?
Any pictures of install would be appreciated.

The "search" tab in the upper right corner is your friend. More info than you probably need.

I installed them on the rail just behind the second wheel. Just enlarge the bolt hole a bit to 3/8 in and use a grade 8 bolt long enough to go well into the Cable scracther or spring wire depending on which you'd like. The work great. I have cables on a friends LTX and spring for now on mine. I will try the Straightline cable scratchers next.

Thanks CaptCaper, I purchased the Duraflex Cable scratchers. I am just not sure if I will get enough cool and lube if they are installed back on the skid frame? Would it be better if installed on the Ski, so it hits the entire skid?

You are right, mounted on the skis they will dust the entire skid. I've done it on the mountain skis with the older model 16 inch Slidekick cable scratchers and they work great. But three things to keep in mind because skis are built differently, are, make sure you can mount them securely, make sure your tips will reach the ground, and preferably, figure out a way to be able to lift them up if you have to, because I wouldn't think you would want them down if you have to drive down a semi gravel road some late March day.

I don't think you need it on the Ski's..
It will lube and cool awesome. If you mount it up front were I have. It throws it right into the skid and up into the cooler in rear as well as the tunnel coolers.
