I have read all I can find on the new shockwave adjustable helix. What a great idea! I can't believe no one has thought of this before.
I spoke to Kent Lee the inventor of the product last week. It's cool to hear that what inspired him to build adjustability into this helix was the same thing that inspires the rest of us. Beating our buddies!

Snow Tech and Snow Goer have both tested the helix with excellent results.
In the Snow Goer test they used a Viper venom for testing purposes. They made 40 runs in a couple hours with different helix angle settings.
They found 9 more hp to the track at 40 mph and 4.4 more (57.3 track hp) at peak power with the helix turned up to 55 degrees.
They then tried a multiangle helix (the start and the finish angle are both adjustable) and were never able to reach the the added power they had created with the 55 degree angle.

Has anyone tried one of these on their RX-1 or a dyno? I'd LOVE to know how they work on our sleds. There is a 53-41 helix (same as stock) but it's adjustable 12 degrees on the start and finish angles if I remember correctly it adjusts from 59-51 to 47-35 degree angles.
