If your RPMs are changing from hard spring to fluffy snow you guys have got to try the Shockwave adjustable helix. I am absolutley stunned how easy it is to keep the RPMs right where they need to be.

I don't know if it was the snow conditions or what but I found my deep lug finger track breaking lose far more than ever before. That's not usually the case with this track.

Maybe I was doing wrong all along? I have been loading the motor with very heavy heel and mid weight with my heavy hitters. I have also been loading it with a steep 54 degree initial angle helix. I noticed the sled seem to pull extremely hard (harder) with the heavy hitters still loaded heavy but with the helix turned down to much shallower angles. Hum? When it only takes 30 seconds change your helix angle and it's infinitely adjustable the posibilities are endless.

The workmanship of this item is impressive and the price seems like a steal at $199. If you ride areas with changing elevations or snow conditions this could be the best addition you have made to your sled. I really am that impressed.

I talked to Jeff at Shockwave. He said I'd probably be better off buying from Outlaw Motorsports in Enterprise Oregon. There's a fellow there named Dustin you need to talk to. Basically here's what you need to know.

Natural Aspirated RX-1M use the adjustable Progressive angle helix. This one goes from a 59-51 down to a 43-35 and verything in between.

Turbos and Superchargers use the adjustable straight rate helix. This one adjusts from 42 to 62 degrees with a turn of a ring.

There is a toll free number on the link.

I ordered mine last week. It should be here in time for next weekends ride. YEE HAA!!!
And I will have to back up what Frostbite stated. I was w/him when he put the shockwave on. It is extremely easy to adjust. You loosen up an alen head screw and turn the adjuster. You don't even have to take the secondary off.
