I am leaving at 8am Thursday morning and riding with all my buddy's that day. We will be going up through Grayling, Fredric, and then heading over to Starvation Lk and more north from there. If you see a really loud 03 RX-1 BLACK shorty, that would be me. Please stop me and say hello and maybe join us for a ride. Houghton lake received 6 inches on Sunday night and a couple more on Monday night, so the lake and trails are good to go. I won't be on the lake until Saturday but listen for the loudest RX-1 out in front of the beer tent, THAT WOULD BE ME..............

I was just in Houghton Lake on Sunday and Im not so sure that it is safe! It was still open water about 15 feet out from shore where we were at and a girl at the store said two guys had gone through the day before, whether they were on sleds I dont know. I have a place right by Starvation Lake and I think we will be riding down to Houghton on Saturday. I have a Silver 03 extended to 136" with the QC-1 exhaust, look for me!

The cops and dnr have ruined tip up town,the love to write tickets for anything they can,to close to fish shantys,speeding,if you line up with another sled its called racing,and it goes on and on,they lack common sense,they don't care about the points you get,they just want your money so they can support there overpriced and overmaned departments , they hide in the weeds outside the pups,and check you out after you start your sled. thats the way it is at tip up town.good luck and you better have your stickers and trail permits. and by the way where are the marked trails on the lake?

Don't get me wrong there is alot of stupid s#*t going on there, I have been going now for 6 year's straight and have never had a problem with the cop's or dnr. Granted, they have been cracking down for years now, but if you don't get stupid like flying by large crowds at 100mph or drag racing right in front of them, they pretty much keep to them selves. My group is a little older, I am 40 and the youngest rider with us is around 33. We keep it cool and out of sight when we want to play and we always end up having a blast. There are some good times to be had by everyone, but you just have to keep it cool. Besides I am looking more to the ride on Thursday with my buds then tip up town. Then we do all couples on friday and have a great time riding up to the swamp in Fredric.
It's a pretty good time and I would not discourage anybody from coming and enjoying it.

No offense to anyone but tip up town is a waste of time. You get wasted but big deal. the only half way cool thing about it that there's chicks and snowmobiles combined. there's a lot of hot head drunks up there. snow usually sucks and the lake isn't frozen. plus you have a the cream of the crop drunk snowmobilers all in the same plce, no thanks.
Hey focker, where's your place at? we ride there all the time. My buddy has a place at cunningham and covert. that area has the best snow!

Let It Ride... My place is on Blue Lake Rd. about 4 miles south of the Hideaway. If you are heading north on Blue Lake Rd. my place is the white trailer w/a shed that has a huge Yamaha sign on the side of it.

Ok boys, I'm leavin Cleveland now for Tip-up Town. If anyone is still on the edge about the ECP kit and your at Tip-up Town, just wave me down and you can test ride my sled. It or I will probably be around the beer tent on saturday cause we are doing the serious riding tonight and friday.-------Cubby
