same here. Hit 60 degrees today. Flooding everywhere, got about 3-4" of rain they said, still raining now.
By looking at the trail cams, tug hill went from 3ft yesterday down to below 1 foot, adirondacks went from 1-2 feet down to 6"-dirt. I really thing theres no way to recover from this considering we've had no snow this year minus the one or two storms that orig brought that snow back in early dec. What a depressing season, and after a horrible summer we had with nothing but rain too..

Yeah it definitely sucks. Sure has me wondering why I bought snowmobiles this year.

The rain here wont hurt things much, it may actually help firm up the trails a bit, once it refreezes.

I sold one of mine a week ago, one day before all this warm up began. I'm pretty happy at least that it sold when it did, lol!

Yep, we got 2" today its stopped for now but what a mess!!! I'm seriously thinking of getting rid of my sled!!! and switching to a 4 wheeler old man's sport!
I'm sick of paying over $400 of trail passes (Ont/Que) and $500 of insurance to get !@$ on by rain...2 years in a row!

I'd love to but we had one storm since last January. Even last winter we had no snow storms from jan18th till this December. We only got 6" in this December, and have had nothing since. Now the rain/summer weather today. I'm beyond snow dance, I missed two whole seasons.
On the up side I could go boating today if I wanted.

Here in central Vermont down low were back to zero and then some. Even if we dumped on this weekend there is too much water. Rivers are out of control as well as small streams. All water bars are back open again. Its going to take 2 weeks of solid freezing temps. to make a difference. This sucks. I hope trails aren't totally gone up high. Trails last year down low were pretty much done after Feb. 7. This is getting really old.

Yep our season done feb 7th last year too. This year it never started.. And same here with all the water. By the time everything freezes up, even if we get dumped on, we may have two weeks or riding, but thats a hope and dream on its own. worst season ever.

where are you in northern ny? this season hasn't been that bad until today up here. people riding everywhere around here until today. lost alot but i could still go riding if i wanted to. i wouldn't say we got 3-4 inches of rain 1 maybe 11/2 unless you are further south than what i'm assuming is northern ny

I live in ballston spa, just south of lake george I-87. But I ride in the heart of the adirondacks, speculator, indian lake, tupper lake, blue mtn. lake and old forge area, and own a camp/property in speculator.
I just read the report from speculators trails and here is what it says
" Just got back from a quick walk on the trail going past oak mountain. If this is any indication on other trails then I would say it is equivelent to late may conditions . there is a huge pond just past the right hand turn going to oak mtn. There is still some ice left on the trail but
it can't be more then an inch thick. I can only imagine what the hill section is like, that section can be thin in the best of conditions.
It was a short walk but if this area that is sheltered by alot of trees looks like this I can only imagine what the open areas are like.. "
