I have a 2008 apex ltx gt 40th 1000kms. Three of my buddies have cat's and they all talk smack. Who would win between the four of us? (all stock sleds):
2008 jaguar 4 stroke 1000 1" track
2005 zl900 carb 1.5" track
2003 f7 firecat efi 1.25" track
2008 apex ltx gt 1.25" track

I think my sleds performs best (hooks up) on hard pack.
your thoughts on different snow conditions and top speeds?

Depending on conditions:

Hardpack:
Apex
ZR9
F7
Jag

Loose snow:
F7
ZR9
Apex
Jag

Ice:
Apex
ZR9
F7
Jag

If you can ride, you can beat em!

My Apex GT and my son's Apex RTX have done well against the competition. They are completely stock, except for 144 studs.
We were at a local strip (550') and there was a ZR900 with a lot of work ( most likey a big bore kit, clutching, pipes, etc ) it sounded strong, but it could only run even with a stock Apex. If the track was longer, the Apex only gets faster and faster. And a lake run, just hold on, and dont look back to see how far ahead you are going to be.! Have Faith in Your Yamaha!

You should beat all of those sleds as long as they are not set up for drag racing. I am not sure about the Jag 1000 but I am pretty sure the F1000 is faster and the APEX eats them up. You will be laughing in your helmet all day long. I have been all year. That (Briggs and Stratton) as my buddies used to call it runs pretty good in that APEX. The only thing I can not beat is the Mach Z and I am usually even or ahead of them till about 90 MPH. Good luck and enjoy the sled.

Stock Apex ER 192 Studs...

Watch out for that 03 f7. The zr9 wont be far behind you if any. The jag's are a joke. My ulmer clutched vector smoked a Jag. I'm talking like 5 sleds lengths in 660'

Ditto on the F7, those 03's are fast!

The only one out of that group will be the 03 F7 and even that I think you should have no problem with. The 05 ZR's are slow. The 03's are the fastest. The don't have the DD. The jag... That;s a joke.

My friend and I both have Attak GTs and both of us can smoke an 03 F7 from hole shot to top end.
Our friend's F7 is one of the fastest that I have seen.
Our run-offs were in Canada on hard pack trails and none of us are studded.

My expierence has been no problem with any of those sleds . The 03 f7s are very fast but havnt been a problem on the top end :die

if the 03 f-7 is set-up right it will be close for awhile, they were the fastest of the f-7, other than that you should have no problem
