Who's using the 1.6 Ice Cobra or Ripper track?

How is it working on the trail?
Overheating or slide sticking?

Looking hard at this track.

Thanks

The Camoplast Ice Cobra 1.6 144" would be my next track. I have to check with my dealer if he could get hold of one first. Otherwise I have to get one thru eBay or something. We have many icy parts on our trails here, so it's nice with some extra traction.

Yeah....our conditions vary from very hardpack and or icy to sporadic dumps of loose snow.....and I often truck to snow so never know what I'm ridin' in.

I'm definitely looking for more lug than my current 1.25 Ripsaw2...altho it is a very good track.
Thinking the 1.6 is the max height I can get away with when things are hard and icy....and should be a good snowshoveller when there's some snow to play with.

I'm sure it will work well in the loose....wondering how it is tolerating hardpack/icy conditions...as in overheating/slide sticking ect.

I put a set of ice scratchers on this season, dura flex..havent used them yet, but I got them for when I need them.. Think im going to look for a longer snow flap, i loose alot of snow out the rear not that I have relocated my skid..

How well do the pre studded tracks work vs the studded? 1.6" pre studded vs 1.25" studded? I currently have the 128" ripsaw2 with 153 studs and was considering upgrading to 136" 1.6" Ice Cobra. Any thoughts on how the track will differ?

studs are better for hook up, the pre studded track just helps out a bit.

Did you do the 128 ice cobra 1.6 with the relocate? If so was there any figment issues to take care of like notching the track or removing the protectors. Not to hijack but I too am looking at this track.

I will be upgrading to this track as well. The last few years we have been getting big snow storms. Last season was crazy, groomers constantly getting stuck, that's a lot of snow! My 1.25" ripsaw was just about useless.

I already added the tric a-arm mounted ice scratchers, which work great, might add duraflex scratchers to the rails with the 1.6" ice cobra if necessary.

Went to proven design products and ordered custom flap. I have the 128" relocate also and this flap is 21" long. Much nicer.
