I bought a couple of Maverick tracks for $300 bones (one almost new) for my Nytro MTX. I know the story about the tracks aren't very good, but I plan on cutting them down to just under 2" anyway to stiffen things up and 2.25 is overkill for me since alot of my riding is lakes and bush. Anyway, my 151 2" Challenger on my RXM is shot and I am wondering if I can install one of the Mavs on the RX skid. I am guessing there will be enough length on the tensioner bolt, but not really sure.

Has anyone installed a 153? I think Frosty did, but just would like to know how much thread is left on the bolt and is there any issues with the bolt bending if it sticks out too far.

Thanks,

p

I am not so familiar with the shorter track models, but even with a basic extension kit, it should work. Check out MPI or Hartman Inc, as they have them fairly resaonable. I have extended (my own extenders) my 153" mountain to accept my 174", 2 1/2 and not an issue at all.

Oops! By the way, my skid is an Arctic Cat M8 141 with a 151 track so I changed the title.

I have a M7 141 with a Challenger extreme 153 on my rx. Stock front holes and made brackets for the rear. Works awesome! If you need more adjustment you can swap out the long tower nut on the adjuster to a std nut. Or go to bigger rear wheels!
