Will the starter issue(s) carry-over to the S/W?

So I find myself collecting prices on an LTX LE in red. The one issue that causes me concern....is if the starter will be a Cat starter and gear, or whoever's.......just as long as it's fixed or not.

I absolutely understand and I'm slightly nervous about first year model problems. But the starter deal isn't new. I would think it's handled by now.....but maybe not. I'm not sure which comes first...the missing teeth on the gear, or the kick-back, or dropped magnets, ECU issues..... (Note: I know the ecu is a mitsubishi iirc)

I plan on getting the extra 2 years on top of the 3 year warranty....but still, I really don't need starter issues. I especially don't want to have that nagging concern in my head, everytime I take it out.

I have a hunch that the 50th anniversary prices will be much higher, especially if it's a good snow year. I suspect Viper prices will drop, but S/W prices will get bumped up due to popularity. Don't know....maybe I'm wrong. What will piss me off: if they clean up the orange and black for the 50th and it ends up without the freaky gray piece, and upgraded shocks....I'll end up pissed at myself for not waiting.

I have not heard of a single starter failure of the 16.5 motor or even the early 16's with old motor in the Vipers so hopefully it's fixed. Different gear at least. One Sidewinder i heard sure started and idled nice also.
