Just ordered these from Port Yamaha but now I'm worried they won't fit as Yamaha only has them listed up to 09. Do these fit the 11? Part number 8FP-W2628-02-KT. http://www.yamaha-motor.com/sport/acces ... etail.aspx

Yamaha says up to 09 and Port says up to 10. But I've found both to be behind on updating fitment. Can someone confirm so that I can cancel and change styles if they don't fit?

I had a set of these on my Attak. They are worthless. You'll have to mount them so low you'll be looking UNDER your elbow to see. If you search using the term MIRRORS you'll find many options that will work better.

I think that'll be a better option. I've got mirrors on all my sleds except my '11 apex XTX. I just don't know if I'll like the look of the bar mounts LOL. Oh well, let us know how they work!

Yes i have them on my apexgt, but like stated earlier, they dont have enough pitch to them to see properly, you can use them, just have to put your finger on the one you want to see out of,and push it up to see out of it,i just did not want the funky handlebar, motorcycle type,as they look rear funky, but work awsome, your choice.

Thanks guys. Going with form over function here and switching my order to the bar mount ones.

Actually I use them. I too found them not as good as my 03 VMax and took them off but never tried handlebar mirrors. I used a wrist mirror for a while but that wears thin so I put these back on. My wife always rides behind me on her sled so I am constantly checking to see if see is there after street crossings, etc. I found the left side works good for this. I just peak down. The right side for some reason doesn't pick her up as nice.
Maybe if I tried the bar mirrors I would like them. Trouble is there is so many posts and different types of them. Some don't go over your shoulder to see behind you. Confusing to say the least so I leave the side mounted ones on.
Actually if Yamaha designed a better mounting bracket for them they would work o.k. down there.

My Doo GSX has the best ones I've used to date mounted to the side windshield extensions. You barely have to look down. I wish Yam made ones like this and my decision would have been easier.

Cat has them too. Yami's windshield is too narrow and flimsy to put them on. I got a pair of Cat mirors and held them up as to mount them. Mounting would of been hard too.
I have Chatterbox X1's now so I don't have to keep an eye on the wife all the time. If there is something up she'll buzz me.
She doesn't have any on her Vector yet which is the same as the Apex now. I would like to get her something besides a wrist mirror.

I have found a VERY cheap and easy mirror setup that works perfect . I (don't laugh) have a set of black bicycle mirrors on my APEX. I discarded the clamp that comes with them and used 2 90 degree steel mounts. I bolted the mounts to my handguards nad then the mirrors to the mounts. Total cost was only 10 bucks, they have been on the sled for 2 years and have hit a shitload of trees and me and have proven to be very tough. The angle of the mirror arms match the windshield angles so they look like they should be there. They extend out to the end of the bars so seeing behind is easy without moving your arms. These are definately worth a try.
