Nice Rumble and cgwiz - Yamaha has a kit specific for mounting mirrors onto the Nytro style handguards (p/n 8GL-W2628-00-00). This is the same mirrors used in the SMA-8FTHB-MR-00 kit made for the Apex models just without the brackets. My recommendation for Apex owners is that if you are looking to add handguards and mirrors both to an Apex buy the Nytro Mirror kit and the factory handguard mounts and handguards directly off a Nytro. Note: The Nytro Mirror Kit will also work on some of the newer model Phazer and Apex RTX models that come from the factory with FX Nytro Style Handguards.

so basicly what your saying is that the handle bar mirrors will not work on my set up where i already have the powermadd hand guads? thats kinda what i had figured. thanks for the info. so i guess its back to the crappy side mirrors that really suck imo.

Why not remove the Powermadds, buy the Nytro handguards and mirror kit and then your good to go. Then sell the Powermadds. Or, put mirrors on the Powermadds.

Might consider the Polaris bar design. Worked fine on mine, but rolled machine and broke mirrors off of posts, no other damage, soft roll when side hilling. Replaced with Yami mirrors, but reach is shorter, thus interfering view with my shoulders. I have PowerMadd handgards mounted inside the gauntlets for better gauntlet support.
The ugly white pads on the handle bar pad are for mounting my GPS.
The top pic is Polaris mirrors, turned down so cover fits. Bottom pic is the Yami mirrors.

i just got the powermadd's lol i was just down to the dealer and looking that mirror set up that kevin had posted w/ the brackets and was told that theu are the same bracket thast the stock hand guards mount to. its all about a question of room and once i put the guards on after i move the controls over there will be no room before the bend in the bars on the 06'. thanks guys.
