I was looking in the yamaha catalog and see that they sell windsheild bags for the apex models, i have a 06 RTX, my question is will the bag actually fit? This windsheild is really low obviously. Has anyone used these yamaha made windsheild bags and so how much can you fit into these bags and how does it actually stay in the windsheild V, velcro or something. Im looking to fit my sunglasses, cell phone, ipod.

Thank you

I have one on my Apex ER. You can get a cell phone, ipod, sunglasses and few other things in there. I forget how it attaches but it doesn't move at all. I usually throw a few candy bars in there as well.

Sounds good, thank you i know there is a good amount more of clearence on the apex er windsheild compared to the windscreen on the rtx, im thinking i can still fit a pair of shades and a cell phone in there.

thanks sawsalesman.

One came with my 06 Apex ER that I bought used. It is held with the windshild screws and is very secure. It is not very big but should hold the items you are looking to hold.

I had one on my 06 RTX (have the same bag on my Attak now) - worked just fine with the low windscreen, had phone, com radio, sunglasses, wallet etc in there.

As someone mentioned, the bag has little plastic tabs with a hole in them. You just unscrew two of the windscreen screws, insert the tabs and put the screws back. Very secure, there's no way it will come loose.

Yup i have one as well, nice little bag. I wouldn't put my cell phone in it though, my battery dies lightning quick if it gets really cold, so I always keep it in a pocket on my body. Body warmth keeps the battery nice and fresh! haha
