Picked up my 2011 Apex SE this weekend and decided to grab a windshield bag. The bag looks like it should function reasonably well and add some much needed storage.

The bag attaches with Velcro (hook & loop). The directions advise that you clean the surface that is to receive the hook with alcohol before you adhere it to the dash.

It did as instructed but the adhesive did not hold. :o|

Any suggestions?

I have tried to mount a Yamaha windy bag on my RS and a Skinz bag on my Phazer with the same luck. I replaced the two side tape on the velcro with 3M body side molding tape. You can buy this at Walmart, Meijers, or any auto parts store. Great stuff. G.B.

I have the Yamaha windy bag for both Apexes, and they both have "Tabs" on them, with bolt holes in them, and the attach right where the windy bolts to the dash, with the existing windshield screws. They work great, they also hold quite a bit. ;)!
