Well I was wonder what you guys had to say about your trail riding up there. Been thinking about Black River falls next year? Whats your take on the state park? Got anywhere else we could go? I and my buddies live in Northwest corner of Iowa, and where not affard to travel. We dont want to travel all the way up to the upper MI border for riding unless it the best in the world, otherwise I would like to keep it under Rice lake if possible!

None of use are affaird of any mud(All of your pics seem to be mud) :) but some hills or even some rock climbing if you got it? Just looking for a good time all around!

So what you guys got, cause down here in Iowa we got lame #*$&@ atv parks that are 600 acres or less! :( They took our ditch riding from us this summer! :(

I know steve has been riding in some of the lower WI trail areas but I havent....been farther North and its awesome

Highlights of my last BRF adventure is in this thread http://www.grizzlyinfo.com/grizzlyinfo/ ... .php?t=121

We stayed at the Best Western which has trail access and 24 hour gas right out of the parking lot. The Orange Moose bar and grill isn't too bad either. ;)!

After we got Tony and Mom settled after Tony's little "biff", Nick and I took off with the Raptor and the red Grizz. The trails are great until Sunday as the traffic turns them into mogul fields. Kinda fun as I rode the Grizz standing up the whole way with the throttle pinned to the bar. Didn't have a prayer of keeping up with the Raptor though and "college boy" wouldn't switch because he says I can go riding any time and he only had this weekend.

The best riding conditions are mid-week when traffic is lighter and after the DNR gets a chance to groom the trails with their motor grader. The trail network is pretty extensive and now connects North into Clark County where you can even find a bit of mud if you so desire.

Be sure to post when you go, I know a few of us who would like to hook up.

Yep, some are open all year but they're all open by May 15th unless it's unusually wet.

Black River Falls should be a good destination for you, running I-90 from Worthington to I-94 at Tomah, maybe a six hour ride or so.

I used to run that route quite a bit when I was selling to the Northwestern railroad. You can even stop off along the way to visit the Spam Museum in Austin, MN. http://www.roadsideamerica.com/attract/MNAUSspam.html
:-o
