ok, I am cheap, so for my Tcat this fall I bought 192 of the stainless.....let's just say it was a mistake.
They look ok, and the price is right...
BUT THEY DON'T HOOK UP AT ALL!!!!!!!
I should have put Golddigger's back in it.

Yes, my friend's warned me, and said the exact same thing "they don't hook up"....
I was thinking it looks like a stud, so it must hook up!!

I think you mean they are durable, that I agree, but compared to the 3 season old Golddiggers I took out, they just don't seem to hook up!!

I have the SS carbide studs... Im hooks awsome.. and they studs are very durable
I have bent 2 of them.. but never pulled threw.. easy to break them off and replace!
Definitly worth the money

Try the Woody's Megabite studs not only do you have the middle point of the carbide, but the tip of the stud is square giving you 4 extra points to dig in as well as the middle tip.Switched to these in 03 would not use anything else awesome traction and very durable.

I guess I don't understand how the Stainless don't hook as much as the similar shaped gold diggers. I have 144 single and double up the middle and have not had any hooking-up issues given the conditions. I have around 500 miles (great winter isn't it) and have no damage to any of the studs. Also I used the "Big Nuts". No complaints here on the Stainless Signature Series.

Re: Woodies stainless vrs golddiggers (backordered) for RTX
I have been using stainless woodys for three seasons now, they seem to work just fine. They might be more prone to bending.
