I haven't been here in a while but I've been a member for 5 year now. I have a 05' Rage. I loved everything about this sled except the workout my arms and shoulders got trying to control the thing. This Febuary I bought a pair of the duelys. I wish my first 9000 miles were as nice as the last 1000.
WHAT A DIFFERENCE.!!!!
I tried shims, front end spring adjustments, limiter strap adjustments, new skis (without the deep keel any other ski is dangerous in anything but hard pack conditions)and nothing really helped. I bought a pair of the duelys before I went to Quebec and I will never buy another carbide for my Yammi ever! We had just about every condition you could find this year in Canada and the sled performed superbly. There is no darting and the sled handles like a polaris with easy steer carbides. The only time I had any darting was the day after a melt down and the old grooves in the trail froze solid. Everybody was darting that day.(I'm pretty sure it was a Yamaha that was leaving those deep groves too)

To make a long story short; If anybody out there is experiencing darting and Heavy steer problems buy a set of Duelys. You'll love em, I guarantee it. If you don't like them PM me and I'll buy em off ya!!!

Duelys really stop the darting, but create alot of push in the corners, too much push !! The Duelys last a long long time too..But now that I have tried a sled the same as mine with Snow trackers I think I am going to go that route....Did you buy the old Duelys or the new slim Duelys.. I haven't heard too much feedback about the new slim Duelys.........

I bought the regular duelys. After I put up my posting I read some other posts about various type of dual runners. Maybe the woodys aren't the best after all. It does seem though that a dual carbide is the way to go.
I do know that I tried SLT and Ski-Doo pilot skis and in anything but hard pack I couldn't turn. There is a reason Yamaha put that deep keel on their skis. With the pilots I could not even get out of the ditch on my way to the trail. I am wondering what exactly you mean by "pushing" through the corners. I am thinking that means the sled wants to go straight. That is not the deal with my rage. I turn the skis and I go that way. Effortlessly!!I do have my front shocks crancked up all the way. I'm happy with the duelys. Maybe when these wear out I'll try something different. I plan on keeping my Rage till it dies. I'll be replacing the cam chain tensioner this summer so that doesn't happen sooner than expected.

I put the Stud Boys on my Attak and they worked great.I got the 6'' carbide and it handled really good.

There's no comparison to the snowtrackers. They are the ultimate runner system for eliminating tracking and no push while cornering. They are also light to steer. They are worth their price tag.

x2 STUDBOY DEUCE BARS with shims on heel of rubber stop, darting is eliminated to 95% no drag and rails in corners I've got close to 9500kms on a set and are still in decent shape...I'm not a big fan of TRACKERS they tend to SNAG rocks, tree roots, rail crossings, sidewalks and concrete curbs etc... and putting exessive stress on your front "A" arm bushings, a buddy of mine had to replace all his front bushings after 3500kms the front end got very SLOPPY!

I had the deuce bars for a few seasons and although they were great for correcting the darting I found them to push too much in the corners ... but I didn't shim as apltx08 did. They do wear very well though.

I also put the shim on mine.I put 2500 KM on them this year, worked great.

i have a 06 vector gt and put the studboys 6" shaper bars on before the 07 season. i also shimed the ski's and let my limiter strap out all the way. in march this year i was checking things out and noticed that i had lost the rear pad on both sides and the shaper bar was nearly worn out. so i replaced with some woody's duely's and man i thought i was riding a new seld. no darting what so ever and the steering was so light i thought i had installed a power stearing pump. a will not go back to the single type runner again.

i have a 144" track on a 09 venture gt should i run 6" or 8" bars? no picks and is it worth the time and money to run the CR9EK dual ground plugs? stock are CR8E.
