XTX Extra wheels opinions?????

I have installed the extra wheels in the skid but I can't remember if anyone has tried this. I have a lot of extra parts laying around from an old 136" Warrior skid and decided to install this axle and wheels to see if it would make any difference in the slider wear. I've checked for clearance but does not seem to be any issues. Had to take a few thous off each side of the axle

to make it work. Seems to me the excessive wear point is just ahead of the the wheels at the tip up on the XTX skid. What do you guys think?

They wear at the same distance you placed the axle? Strange since you already have outside idler wheels close to the same spot....

More wheel help reduce slide wear and should improve with less friction to sliders equalling less rolling resistance,good idea.
