What is everyone running for a helix angle? I have a stock xtx with 14.5 rollers and a lighter primary spring for smoother engagement, is there a better helix to run other than the stock one?

Once you change your helix you will have to do some work on the primary. If you're happy with it overall then I wouldn't mess with it.

I found my XTX like the stock one the best.. You can try a straight 45 or even 47/43 if you are still over reving.

Do you over-rev or what gains are you looking for?

I see you have the 43 degree helix, same as I have on my 08 RTX (144").

I'm going to try out a 39 degree (MTX) helix on my sled this season. Hopefully it will work better..

Less helix angle = slower upshift = higher shift rpm.

What does "better" mean? Please explain what you are looking to gain..

Im looking for better backshift, for climbing the steep and deep.

Im using my sled mainly in deep powder, and the stock clutching does not work very well with the turbo. (I loose rpms, and blow belts.)

My two riding buddies is both running the 39 degree helix and pink sec spring on their MTXs - and it works very well. All MTXs sold in europe has the 39 degree helix stock.

In such case if you are seeking a better backshift to retarget yiour rpom.. yes, the 39* helix will be an improvement for what your goal is..

Yeah thats what i figured. I am looking forward to test it in real life and see if works as well as i hope. I was first looking at the shockwave helix, until i found out that it adjusts from 42 to 58 degrees.. which would be the opposite of what i was looking for.
