Hi, i have a question to all that ride a xtx out west, is it better to let the limiter straps out ,or pull them in for deep snow riding?? We are going on our once a year trip out west and this is my first time out on a xtx, always rode vipers ,sxrs etc. i have 6.9 pilots on ,gearing, clutching, just had questions about suspension set-up Thanks

I went two weeks ago with my transfer set to max and straps all the way out. It sucked!! Turned my transfer down to minimum and it performed well. You might wanna pull your straps up one too.

If the snow is a"mixed bag" of conditions, then I found pulling the limiters up one hole from stock works pretty good.
If it's nothing but deep pow
pulling them up two holes from stock will work better.

i just got back from laramie last night from my trip west. i had the transfer set on soft, disconected one side of the sway bar and set the compression on the front shocks to soft. With the 1 foot + of fresh powder we found on the ground it was a blast to ride. Plus i was able to go were ever the mountain sleds went, even with the stock ripsaw track.

i had a 144X2 track, geared down 18T top. all rivets out in weights, pulled limiter straps up 1 hole. and it definately did not perform good at all. it would go good on the flat ground, but any kind of incline you could pretty much forget about it unless it was all tracked up. rode it for 2 days and had enough, then rented a pro rmk 155 and 800 etec 154, had more fun on those for sure!
