Seen the xtx this weekend and the risers on it are a joke. we got screwed. rtx and xtx risers are not interchangeable....i might go and spend $$$ on a set of rox risers if available!!! Yamaha isnt a real big help.

I too am a bit puzzled as to why they just didn't give both sleds the RTX style. There can't be any difference in manufacturing cost.

What is exactly is the difference and why is one better than the other? I don't understand why Yammy doesn't make it all the same?

So my 2" rox riser that I already have won't work on my xtx???
Put it on a couple days ago and it worked great

If you are looking at a completely new setup we have riser kits available for the FX Nytro (all models). We have risers available in 8", 6', and now even 4" (not shown on our website yet). Our adapter blocks add another 2.5" to the rise.
If you have an RTX model, then you should already have the pivoting adapter, and you would not need to purchase our adapter block (unless you want to, because it looks cool!), you can simply purchase the risers.
You can get a good idea of what our risers look like from our website, or by checking out the TY build as we provided risers for the project. Check us out!

7th post down from the top.
I brought this exact issue up months ago. This sled is a long tracked standard Nytro, not an RTX. How did you guys buy a sled without knowing how its spec'd out. Looks like Muffinworks has you covered with the riser, but you still didn't get the RTX shocks.

the RTX and the SE both have the pivot riser system already. the rtx is an 08 but it is the same anyway
the xtx and std nytros have the traditional system with no risers at all
the mtx has the traditional system with a riser block
hope this helps

The MTX also has a different steering post as I found when trying to install the stock MTX riser on my RTX. The MTX has a flat plate with 4 holes in it that the riser bolts to and the RTX has the bar as seen in the pic above. Just a heads up for anyone thinking to do the same!

the MTX Riser and post sucks BIGTIME...don't know WTH Yamaha was thinking when they installed it...The Standard and XTX isn't to bad to get to work...the RTX is a pain in the A$$ to install a different riser on alsto, because the T-top is so narrow, it looks stupid when changing bars and risers on it... I've never found a single Yamaha with thepost I want, so aftermarket is where you need to look...

that is true but the style of riser on the se you can pivot the handlebars more than the xtx so you could swing it towards the windy to get more height. if you know what i am talking about

I like the RTX & SE pivot steering post alot more than the Std's and MTX's and X-tx's flat plate.

ya they are nice because it gives you alot more room for customizing the bars and how you like them.
