SORRY ,
XTX is 144 long , 2 per bar using a double plate and woody's 1.325 goldiggers.

57 bars x2 per bar = 114 thats either 2singles per row or 1 double backer per row still equal 114... correct me if im wrong?

You're right. I think that is what he's trying to say. 1 double backer per bar = two studs per bar = 114 studs.

Personally I don't think thats enough for aggressive trail riding. Its nearly a 140 hp sled so I'd run more. 3 every other row or something like that.

Where are you riding?? The trails are not open yet??

I've got over 400km on this week.
Ganaraska forest and all around north of the area.
It was all groomed Thurs. night.
But everything is beat to piss already.
Could use another foot of snow to fix it up.

BTW, dealer did my xtx 332 pattern 152 but they messed up with at least 40% of them down the center. Only a new track will fix it. Maybe next year?

For some reason I put 144 in my 121" nytro and I have bent ATLEAST 15 of them...I believe they are 1.325 woodys or 1.375. And thats trail riding with 2ft+ snow 1000 mi or so...any ideas?

Did you use tall nuts? Im only 114 and I'm hard on them not one bent I have high shoulders on the washers.

I used the same nuts you have in your picture but I used metal backers...they make even taller nuts than that..I probably should have went with those. I'm going to yank the bent ones out and put some chisels in it for the radar runs..I may just put the woodys big nuts on while i'm down there.

114 woodys with tall nuts and round backers, no issues.

Fast trac airlite XL backers are the only backers I'll use. Stronger than aluminum, won't bend, and they are the taller neck so you don't need to use a tall aluminum nut...which strip out easilly if you're not careful during installation.

That's what in my pixs ;)!

Nice guys, I didn't realize they had the longer shoulder on them..less weight too! The reason I use aluminum backers is becuase I had plastic on my viper (peppered w/studs) and I had a vibration for the longest time and tore the sled apart several times to find out that the plastic backers didn't allow me to pull the stud down far enough..but i'm willing to give it another whirl
