just got back from 4 day 650 mile canada trip and it was freakin cold!!!
anyway during the trip my bottom plastic clip in my saddlebag broke and the bags came off and were damaged. also i noticed the new bags have metal clips
the clear plastic on my map bag shattered like a piece of glass
no doubt that these were caused by the extreme cold 30 below was average but arent these made for the cold? think yammy will go good for these or am i #*$&@ out of luck?

Your guess is as good as mine. I have read quite a few posts on here about how Yamaha stands behind their stuff very well. I believe these people, and I'm glad they have great dealers. I hope yours is as good. I just got off the phone with Yamaha about my seat cover and foam issues, and found my receipt...I dropped the sled off for service on Nov. 11th. I picked it up Dec. 5th with the seat cover back ordered. Its STILL not in, and my warranty is up. I called Yamaha directly to see about other options to fix this sled. They said I have no options...wait for the cover. I asked about whats going to happen with the labor, since my warranty is now up, and she said its up to the dealer, but they "should" cover it since I had the complaint before the warranty was up. "should"??? I asked about why they would hand me my reverse lever which I ordered 2 weeks before warranty was up, came in a week later, but I was never contacted. 2 weeks later I found out it was in, and they wouldn't install it. Yamaha said they must have had a reason. What reason would keep them from contacting me and then not installing a warranty part??? Good luck with your problems...I hope you have better luck than me. This is my last Yamaha.

It's not the sled it's your dealer anything installed by the dealer is not warranteed by Yamaha I had my skid plate installed when I bought my sled one of the retainers popped out and Yamaha would'nt cover it so neither would my dealer. Also had reverse put in after dealer ordered wrong sled was told that would not be covered also what a shaft job wish I could find a dealer like some of the other members on this forum have

If your sled wasnt what was printed on the contract, you should have refused delivery. Then at least you'd be able to switch up for a faster blue sled
My paperwork showed ER they just got those goofy model numbers screwed up. I didn't find out the reverse would'nt be covered till after I paid for it in full
and since I had the fastest color (silver) getting a new one was no longer an option since they were only available if you ordered them the previous spring. I'm just glad it's been a trouble free sled for the most part not sorry i got it thats for sure
