hey thinking about what mods to do for my Apex for racing 500ft drag. No turbo but need it to compete in 700 and 800 class. I weigh 200lbs and what helix clutching should be done? Any tips much appreciated

Traction is key. Whatever you can do to make it hook up better will help. Let your limiter straps out.

What length track? A couple of us have been racing Apex’s in our 660’ snow drags for a few years with great results. We run our stock Apex’s in the 700, 800 stock classes and often bump to 700, 800 Improved. Many of the 2 stroke guys have eaten their words about these heavy tanks!
