Yamaha/Arctic Cat

the most important thing is how much does it weigh and how much horsepower does it have?

138 hp and lighter than the Nytro, though they don't say yet. Good article in American Snowmobiler digital addition. It uses Yamaha clutching also.

I found my new sled for 2015 give them a year to work the the bugs out that should be enough time to convince the wife that I will still need to keep the apex

So Arctic Cat divorced Suzuki and ran off with Yamaha? What was wrong with the Suzuki engines? I never heard anything bad about them.

hope they have there own engineers there to monitor quality control during assembly. the main reason i buy Yamaha is for there reliability and great quality along with the higher resale. this is just a Blue or Red Cat with a great Yamaha motor/clutch but that's it, the rest is all Cat. Can't believe they couldn't have come up with there own chassis, what a shame. At least they could've made a better effort to give it it's own look. For God's sake even the skies and rails look like AC and the side panels look like there interchangable. It's all about the money.

if you buy one get ready to be heckled by all the AC faithfull. I'm sure it will ride and handle great but personally i'll keep my better looking and proven relaible Apex for a few more years and take a wait and see approach. if they start building all of there sleds there then I'll be looking at BRP when i'm ready to move on to a newer sled.

we will see next year how these hold up and how they are accepted.

towed my buddies 2012 turbo Cat yesterday. 3rd time this year.

nice looking sled, but he breaks down every other ride.......

I like the looks of the new SR Viper , I'm concerned with quality..... I'll be watching it next season from the fence

More like 128 HP.

There having trouble getting equal HP of the Nytro because of the exhaust not being straight out the back now. Came right from the mouth of one of the engineers. Evidently the curved header or exhaust is hurting the power. Their working on getting the power back supposedly.

There should be room for a turbo and that will solve the HP issue. I rode one yesterday and I was not impressed with the lack of power. Here is a link to my post:
