HEY FELLAS, I HAVE AN 03 RX1 WARRIORIZED WHICH HAS A 136 1.25 RIPSAW AND 217 STUDS. I ALSO HAVE HEAVY HITTERS SET TO MATTS SPECS AND THE ECP KIT W/EVAP. MY QUESTION IS, SHOULD I RUN A NEW YAMAHA BELT OR IS THERE A BETTER AFTER MARKET BELT TO RUN? THANKS SCOTT

2nd Vote for Yamaha belt. Why? Most guys on this site use the Yamaha belt and there have been very few issues.

Yamaha, kind of non-applicable concern today as belts last for a couple thousand miles.

Yamaha 8DNs here. Nelson's had a killer price on them during their Snow Show so I picked up two for $39 each.

Storm Chaser, I'm sure that was just a special they were running during the weekend of their Snow Show. Here's their link:

I've never run anything but OEM on my RX, because of problems with my old 2 strokes.
Some of the aftermarkets are very hard compound, that's why they last.
2 problems:
Premature grooves on the primary faces.
Trouble controlling the shift RPM. They wanted to over-rev, and needed heavier flyweights.

Exact opposite diff with Yammie belts. 8DN oem belt is rock hard & ultimax 4432 belt is way softer.
