Yamaha bringing back the 2 Strokes..

Why would you give up 10-12 hp running a 250f on an outdoor circuit? A 250 smoker has a huge power advantage over a 250 thumper and for only 7 more pounds. They do put the power down a lot smoother, but in a race I'll take the extra 33% every time and work the clutch to smooth it out.

4 stroke bikes make newbie riders less sketchie...they're waaaaay esier to ride. You can't be lazy or unfit when racing a 2 stroke. I don't care how much more power 2 weight advantage the 2 stroke has........90% will still ride a 4 stroke faster over the course of a 20 min moto on an Mx track.

4 strokes killed that sport.....period.

the woods are a different story I guess.
