Yamaha is making up their missed snowmobile demo event in Derby, Vermont on February 14-15th.

February 14 - 15, 2009 The Cow Palace
3111 Us Route 5
Derby, VT
802-766-2400 - off Yamaha website, so it's "official".

I am told that they will be bringing five or six 2009 snowmobiles, and quite possibly a 2010. They did not promise to bring the 2010, but it is certainly an exciting possibility. The weather is predicted to be in the mid 20s, and low chance of any accumulation that day. The new 2010 Yamaha snowmobiles will be introduced on www.yamaha-motor.com @ 12:00PM eastern time, tommorrow, February 10th, in case anyone missed that announcement. Thank you Yamaha for making up the missed event. This will be a great chance for everyone to try out the new Yamaha snowmobiles and get a chance to speak to Yamaha representatives about their products.

I wonder if there are enough of the 2010's to hit both the Cruiserfest in N Wisconsin, and this newly added one on this thread.

Cruiserfest has been on the calendar over a year, but if it's only BNG then there should be enough stickers for everyone.

I sure hope that there will be good snow to ride. The conditions are great right now, but you're right, there might be some light rain coming in the next two days. Hopefully it's little to no rain and the conditions remain the same, or even maybe a little more snow is possible too. I doubt we'll lose so much that we can't get out and take at least a little ride on the new sleds. Hope for snow.

2010 Yamaha

There will be no promise that the 2010 snowmobile will be in Derby on the 14th & 15th. Definitely a trailer full of 2009s. The 2010 Yamaha was reportedly in Syracuse yesterday and shipping to Bangor, Maine for today's 2010 release/announcement @ 12 pm. The sled "should" be in Derby for Saturday and Sunday, as long as there are no transportation issues or problems with the sled @ the demo rides in Maine. Sounds like Yamaha is not willing to promise anything because they do not want a big disappointment, but they do expect to have the 2010 in Derby, VT for Feb 14th & 15th. Sounds "promising".

My expectation and guess is that there will be more than "Bold New Graphics", since Yamaha has been reported to have leaked that there is at least one model that is "all new" or "completely redesigned", and they are trucking the things all over to get them to demo events around the country. I don't know many people that get excited about riding a sled that has nothing changed but it's graphics. Hopefully we're not disappointed. We'll find out today @ 12pm eastern time.

we probably already did find out.

That said, I really want to try the new vector with 126 hp and efi.

2010

yeah, looks like a new 153 & 162 Nytro SE MTX mountain sled and the Vector get's the new fuel injected engine. Not nearly what I was hoping for, but I don't blame them considering the economy is where it is. I would have thought that they might have tweaked that Apex motor for a few more ponys, but there is always next year. I don't have enough money for a new sled right now anyway.
I'll still be going to the demo rides this weekend to get some seat time on the 2009 FX Nytros.

It was 40 degrees in Derby, VT yesterday...today it is 12 degrees.
The trails are frozen back up and the groomers are out.
Should be good conditions for the demo tomorrow & Sunday.
