Yamaha Handguards

Has anyone seen these and/or installed them yet? I am thinking of adding these to both my new Attak and my '03 RX1. I just wondered what eveyone thought of them vs the other brands out there.

I have them installed on my Attak. They don't fit as well as they do on the Nytro...some genius at Yamaha decided to make the Nytro bars just a little bit longer. That's fine I guess but then make a handguard bracket that fits the Apex/Attak bars I will post some pics soon. I think I'm going to bend the aluminum bracket so they are more parallel with the bars.

Here's some pics. I will be bending the bracket so the guards don't stick up so much. Any other ideas?

I see you didn't trim off the little plasic pieces that the wires zip tie to to prevent pull out. I was considering trimming those tabs off and mounting it flush (and zip tying to the handguards), but I think bending the bracket may be the better way to go...

wow. those handguards look really good on your sled. are the yami ones adjustable left to right like the powermadd's? i was thinking of mounting them between the grip and the controls like someone else on the site did. looks mean!

I like the look of the handguards. I think I'll get a set of the Black ones for my red Attak.

spyderman, i like your idea. i might have to try that. that way the brackets can be mounted close to the controls. for u guys that have the yami guards, are they adjustable, left to right, like the powermadds?? thanks

Well last night I put a slight bend in the bracket, which wasn't enough, so I cut the tabs off the controls. It looks much, much better. I will try to post some pics this afternoon.
