ISR Stock Classes in Racing
Actually "Stock Apperaing" is an excellent description of every ISR Stock Class drag race we have ever seen!
Those 4 sleds that get into the finals fit this description perfectly!
Not one of them is even close to stock...thats why I have always ignored the results from stock class racing...its BS!
Point is...
Who's stock anyway!
Uh...

I THINK BY FAR THE BIGGEST HURDLE YAMAHA WILL HAVE IS TO OWN UP TO ANY DESIGN OR WARRENTY ISSUES THAT DO ARISE.....I HOPE SOME ONE AT YAMMI IS READING THIS. SPECIFICALLY UPDATES???????????????????? ie. REAR HEAT EXCHANGERS, GREASE ZERKS, CLUTCH RATTLING ETC ETC.
:ORC IF THEY DON'T IT WILL BE DIFFICULT TO PLEASE NEW CUSTOMERS

This is an April Fools joke right?? I loved the TSS, but I don't think many others did, Yamaha's market share dwindled each year they continued to use that front suspension set up. However, I remember an article in one of the snow mags in the mid 90's that stated that the TSS was just as good as any trailing arm suspension or A-Arm suspension. But, consumers demanded trailing arms and A-arms and that's what we got! I doubt we'll ever see TSS again.

Re: Apex GT Versus Attak, in all catagories listed below
At least you ended that statement with you don't honestly know. Because the Yammi does not kill the Mach in handling. The 05 RX's were close to the Mach but the Mach still has the edge in bumpy trails. Smooth trails and the 05 was a little better. I would imagine the 06's would be slightly better but nothing to give it an overall clear winner award.

I talked to a couple of guys with Mach-1s, guys who rode the Yamaha Proto-Types and they say the Yamaha rides better than their sleds...they are good sources for honest info so I believe them. So the answer is; I honestly don't know first hand on this one either>>>>

You forgot to put your disclaimer in Kenlacy. You know the, "but I don't honestly know."
I road MR sleds 05 Rx-1 on some nasty trails. The trais were bumpy and twisty. It ate every bump and steered the corners with ease. Not sure how a Mach which weights the same is any better. Plus the Mono Shock skid is the best on the market in my opinion. I've ridden all the newest stuff and nothing compairs

The positioning on the Mach is better for the bumps - same reason why Yammi moved the 06's forward. I love my 05 and its handling (other than a little soft rear spring) but the Mach still felt better on the bumpier trails. Rode the Apex, was a little better than my 05, but nothing significant except when you get to bumpy trails that is really where you notice the changes.
The Mach is lighter, not by a landslide, but it is.
All I am saying is they are close, hard to give either one a definite "better" designation. IMO - there is my claimer

Yah, kinda like that "sweet little thang" you turned down...we all have one of those, right?
Remember, if you turn it down, you can never make it up...that opportunity is gone forever!
At least you didn't turn down the opportunity to read this thread..would have been an opportunity lost forever! :ORC
