Last year after being frustrated with the amount of maintenance I was doing on my first sled (2002 Ski Doo Summit Highmark X 151), I impulse bought a 2008 Yamaha FX Nytro MTX 153.

I was given crap, grief, lectures, superiority theories, 2 stroke/4 stroke non-sense, etc etc. I actually liked the sled, and felt an obligation to change the 2 smokers unfounded prejudices.

I was going to make the Yammi a MONSTER. Then I realized I was spending a lot of money on the Yamaha. A LOT. I got to looking at hold overs, less cash +Yammi trade=new sled. Then, I found a dealer who would give me what I paid for the Nytro in trade. I found a decent deal on a 2011 AC M8 with that same dealer. I put the two together and went green. Sorry guys. I got a brand new 2011 with 2 year factory warranty M8. Leaving Blue and turning Green.

I want to thank Scott and Jeff at OFT. They've been excellent! They gave me a lot of ideas for the Yamaha, and understood when I went green. Big thanks to them. Even though I'm green now, I still plan to buy what I can from them.

I have a bright green M8 sitting in the driveway now, the Yammi is trade fodder. I feel like a bit of a traitor, maybe blue in a couple of years if they get the handling straightened out on these sleds. I really wanted to make Blue work, but this was too good of a deal.

Green for now...

Waiting for the snow...

Pretty unfair comparing the handling when you had an 08, everyone knows they have had there handeling problems. Rented a new M-8 last year in togwatee and all I can say is good luck. I never felt right sitting on it and could never get over the wobbly steering shaft. Hope you have better luck and it works for you.
