Yamaha Nytro xtx drivers

My 09 XTX would rachect with the stock track, espeicially after you had been in reverse, even with the track adjusted tighter than stock settings. This surprised me because my SRX's never racheted when riding in a sporting manner

When I switched to the 1.75 backcountry I installed extros and have never had another problem since.

All the 2010 Nytro mountain sleds come with extros standard.

Must be you were experiencing chain case issues. There is no way track ratcheting could be associated with reverse gear.

I have yet to see XTX ratchet and I ran mine extremely loose in almost ideal traction conditions.

not the chaincase, when you use reverse it moves the drivers up against the backward side of the track guides (dont know the proper term for those rubber things on the track that the drivers grip on) If you use the throttle to hard after using reverse the drivers have not had time to reseat against the track in the forward position and give the driver a little momentum against the track causing violent racheting. I think this is cause be the very tourqy Yamaha engine and high grip snow.

My sled would rachet over whoops, leaving the line WOT, after using reverse, quite annoying. All was gone after I installed extro's.

I agree with TURK no rachet problem with1.75 track and stock drivers.DID IT

Probably depends on how its being used, if your agressive with it you might want to consider the extro's.
