On ebay is a yamaha race suit that guys wore last year size xl brand new it is different from the ones they are selling this year it is a good deal at 299.00 for the suit hand made an rare,

Plenty of racers at Haydays this fall selling their race gear from last year. As much as they would like to play it off as "Rare" rare only adds value if they were a winning racer.

ie Blair Morgan's helmet from a season championship etc.

Racers get the gear, they wear it, and sell it off as their sponsors are going to help them get the latest gear this season. It's a cool piece to have and use if it's still functional. I would add no additional value to it, unless it was something you wanted to collect and display. If the racer is not recognized by the average sledder, then it is just used gear.

The only thing hand made about it may be their number badge, name or sponsor patches sewn on it. There are so many replica jackets out there now, it's tough to differentiate.

Good luck,

I was just trying to say if one want a brand new suit that is the exact same as what the racers use it is a good deal the production models has stuff missing and I paid way more it that this guy trying to sell this one. An the reason it is hand made they did not make that many of them it was made in winnipeg. The only thing different on the suit is the sub let of the tuning fork.

I think there were only 10-11 of these made period so about as rare as your gonna get

Very cool. I stand corrected. I was assuming this was gear that racers had and used the prior season.

If it's new, and that limited, then that's a different story.

Any pics to be seen of this stuff? It would be fun to see.

It was the gear we used last year :) they only made 10-11 suits if we damaged one there were NO backups. I know Lindbohms was pretty much destroyed from the season so not may left :)

Here is a couple of them on people
