Hi everyone.
My srx has no top end whatsoever.
Here’s the setup I’m running:
Tune: stage 3 multimap pefi (with the 2.5inch pefi exhaust)
Clutching;
Primary:
green dalton spring
Dalton dtay1 ramps set to 75.5g
Secondary:
Dalton orange spring
41/37 helix
Preload set to 1-6
Track: 2 inch lugs no studs.

My problem:
Instead of reaching 9000rpm like the tune says I should, i only reach 7800rpm - 110kmh.
When I’m wide open, the knock light appears once I reach my plateau and disappears when I let off the throttle. (I run 91 octane with octane booster and still didn’t fix)
I need help.

Any intake mods? What's the fuel pressure?

You should monitor boost. I’d be suspicious on a leak. Stock BOV?

No boost leak all the test related to that have been performed. In a pull I’m building 20psi
Stock bov

So, stock air box?
IMO, being a PEFI user (Stage 3, then 3R, then 4), 20 psi for Stage 3 is not right. That tune is about 17.
Cam timing ok?
How does it start? How does it idle?
Any chance you've got broken clutch parts?
Fuel pressure needs to be 43 koenr.
Gearing?
How long has this been going on?
Did this happen suddenly??
Seems like maybe there's so much deto, the ECU is pulling all the timing it can and it's so retarded, it can't build any RPM st all.
Just tossing some stuff out.
Is tune ok?

Has this just happened or has work been done to sled then doesnt run right?

The clamps on intake boots between the head and throttle body need to be shortened to prevent boost leaks.
Their is a thread on here about knock light coming on due to boost leaks.
You need to also check the routing of the small boost lines to turbo, front solenoids and fuel pressure regulator. Make sure the hoses are clean and clear inside. Moisture and oil residue can create issues here.
The reason why we do the rollover breather modification to keep this crap out of intake.
If this has not been done intercooler and lines need to be cleaned out.
If proper boost pressure is not getting to the fuel pressure regulator on left side of throttle body engine will run lean and knock and make no power but boost will be low.
Lots of information on this site.

My guess is your going off recall in which tells you nothing. You’re still running a stock map sensor (assuming) so 20psi is highly unlikely.
If you have a good stretch where you can watch the boost gauge, hold it wide open and see if your boost falls off (provided it’s safe to do so)

Yes stock airbox
Don’t know if cam timing is okay
Starts rlly good and idles nice.
No broken clutch parts
Don’t know what the fuel pressure is I haven’t checked it.
Stock gearing.
Has been happening ever since I’ve had the sled. I bought the proper clutch kit and exhaust hoping it would fix the problem but it didn’t.
I don’t know if tune is okay I’ve heard a lot of people say pefi is garbage.

I failed to mention in my post that the sled has been checked for boost leak by a shop. I left my town to head back to school til the summer so any suggestions you guys have I’ll only be able to perform them this summer.
What’s a check list of things I should do this summer if my problem isn’t fixed?

i would say you need more wrap with the dalton orange secondary spring and maybe try shallower helix with that big a lug on the track.

I would say a big clue is the deto light coming on at wot. Something is not right.
Must check fuel pressure.
Does sled have fuel pump upgrade with return to basket?
Are injectors dirty/partially plugged?
Are all the hoses in front connected correctly and not blocked/linked?
Maybe you're not getting increase in fuel pressure corresponding directly with boost?
What is AFR when that is going on? Has to be extremely lean.
Have to stop deto - it will ruin the engine if it hasn't already.
