Valentino Rossi won in front of Casey Stoner and Daniel Pedrosa with team mate Jorge Lorenzo in 4th place.

Yeah - things are really going our (Yamaha's) way these days :-)

I usually don't like to know results until I watch it if televised .
I just finished watching the AMA Superbike races from Laguna. I love that track. Di Salvo #40 came in third overall in the Championship on his YZF-R1 and E.Bostrom #32 came in 5th overall.
In the Supersport class, B. Bostrom #155 won the championship on his YZF-R6. He had six wins this year, 10 top three's and six poles.
Kudos Yamaha.

I could use some "HONEST" answers that aren't told with blue glasses on..Who makes the best 600cc sport bikes/
Who makes the best 1 liter bike?
The best sport tourering bikes?
The best criuser bikes?

I'm thinking it's yammie.. But I'm not 100% sure. MM.

I posted the result about 12 hours after the race and I can't do much about Valentino Rossi winning the MotoGP championship with 3 more races to go :-)

It will be interesting to watch the remainder of the season, here's the calendar

October 5, 2008 Moto GP of Australia - Phillip Island
October 19, 2008 Moto GP of Malaysia - Sepang
October 26, 2008 Moto GP of Valencia, Ricardo Tormo

Still, the race wasn't televised until almost 9 hours after your initial "spoiler" due to the fact that the race was in Japan, and I specifically avoided certain sites because I knew someone would have to spill the beans, but I didn't think I'd read it here in a snowmobile forum... ;):D Anyway, no biggie, but for future reference, it would be nice if all users would add the words "SPOILER" in a less informative title when referring to races that will be televised later that day.

Back on topic, Rossi is the man once again ! As the commentators said, seeing Rossi take his 8th World Championship was like watching poetry in motion. I'm really glad he finally found the combination he needed to show his reign over the competition after having such bad luck the last couple of years. Goes to show how one piece of the puzzle being out of wack can have such an impact in the sport, because he is and always will be the best motorcycle racer the world has ever seen, and he just proved it once again ! Congrats to Rossi, Team Yamaha and Bridgestone !!! :yam:

While we're at it, do not turn on the television set if the race is not a live race, they will spoil it for you as well as reading the TY4stroke.com

DAMN it was even spoiled for me as the win was all over the TV news sunday morning and the race was televised 2.30 PM my time, sorry for spoiling your day.

I'M GLAD THAT YAMAHA WON!!!

All over the TV News ??? You sure it wasn't Nascar ? :tg: Just sayin it would be respectful to use the term "Spoiler" in future less informative headings as most motorsports forums do. Again, no big deal (even though you spoiled my day :moon: )

OK - your point's taken, I'm out

still glad that Yamaha won :-)

I agree, I saw the title and didn't read the post because there were some equations that would have made him win the Championship even if he finished in 8th position. Great race to watch though.

I won't say anything about your spoiler, already done. I was simply adding to your post about Moto GP and posting the results of the AMA races I just watched while my laptop was sitting in front of me.

The remainder of the season will be very interesting I agree. Working that race for their only North American stop is truly amazing. Those Moto GP bikes are really something if you haven't seen them live.

I've seen Rossi live @ Laguna Seca 2005, WHAT A BLAST !!!
