X2! This is what I have. http://www.richmotorsports.com/store/ya ... -tool.html
On the one I have from Rich Motorsports the large center bolt threads onto the jackshaft. It looks like the other designs shown in this thread also have a large center bolt threading into the jackshaft.

All you need is a piece of pipe 1 1/2" ID ( a little bigger will work) about 1/2" long and a washer that covers the end of the pipe and 5/16" hole for the viper.
The thing to check is take the 2ndary bolt out ( 14mm ) wrench, remove the 2ndary washers( don't lose them ), put tool on and thread in clutch bolt. Make sure the bolt turns in about 3 turns(threads) before contact so you don't strip the end threads off. This is why the pipe is only 1/2" long.
Does not open the 2ndary 100%, but belt is still easy to get off.
Just made 2 a couple days ago. Tried them and will work fine even on the trail.
I tacked the washer to the pipe but it is really not necessary if you don't have a welder.
Same for Apex and Vector but the washer has a 9/16" hole to fit the aluminum 2ndary bolt.
Here is an old pic about 2006 of my 1st one. You don't need the clutch washer, then you can use a little longer pipe to open clutch further.
That will work, too. However, I prefer to leave the bolt holding the secondary torqued rather than taking a chance removing it on the trail and losing a washer or over torquing the aluminum bolt and getting stranded.
To each his own.

I thought the same thing regarding not wanting to remove and replace the large bolt out on the trail.
