Hey guys,
what is the yellow light just under the highbeam indicator has a ! inside a triangle.also does this go off when warmed up. all i have done is start it in my garage cause I LOVE THE SWWET SWEET SOUND. i would check owners manuel but dealer has not gotten it to me yet. thanks for the help. Greg

Or it's just the warm-up warning. The light goes out after the engine reaches 20 degrees celcius... ;)!

Red lights for warm up on the Apex and Phazer, also on the New FX Nytro....

Also if you are starting it without letting it warm up, you will foul plugs...

Do you have any numbers flashing on the screen along with the yellow light? If you just bought it my guesses would be low on gas or low on oil.

i did not realize you could foul plugs on the fuel injected models. i will be more aware of this and let it warm up. thanks. also after running it a little on stand light went out and has not been back. thank you for replys. Greg

If your going to be starting it up (which is not recomended) but if you must you may as well start diluting the antifreeze. Get a good tester, remove a little as much of the antifreeze as possible with a turkey baster through the main overflow tank. Add distilled water to the tank and run sled for a few minutes. Check and repeat until desired mixture. I choose about -35*F to -40*F but if you need colder protection go with that. This worked pretty good and didn't create any air pockets in the system. The sleds come with near or 100% antifreeze. Your sled will likely overheat even in good conditions. With mine dilluted as described I have never had the light come on since.

I don't know if it is that we always have good snow conditions during winter or what but I have never had my Apex overheat, even running with near to or 100% antifreeze. Actually I even have to go so far as to let it warm up if I only shut it off for 1 minute, the warning light will stay on for 30 seconds or so before going out.

I did worry about it before getting my Apex, but after going over 1100 miles without it overheating, needless to say my worries are gone.

Mine did the same thing last week, yellow stayed on for quite some time even though the sled was plenty warm. (Idled for about 5 mins) Just for the heck of it I tapped the throttle and yellow light went out and stayed out. No idea why the yellow light didn't go out on it's out but tapping the throttle seemed to do the trick.

That is odd with the yellow light. Ive had mine come off and on depending on position when the gas is getting low. The red light above the high beam light is the warm up light though.

I know that yellow light is for low fuel and also overheat. Most likely if you have 2 bars or less on your fuel gauge, it is low fuel. The light is pretty inconsisitent when the fuel gets below 3 bars. Overheat is very unlikely.
