Just wondering what your thoughts are on them? How long you have had them and how dependable they are? Any major engine problems?

I am thinking for next year. Already put a #*$&@ load into the Nytro this year but I am 99% sure I am going some kind of boost next year. Guess I am just looking for input. May as well start gathering info.

I am leaning Supercharger because it is linear and I do mostly all trail riding.

I have had mine for two years and love it. The only thing I have had to do is add more boost. Always want more. We put one on a Nytro, and it wasn't to bad. If you decide that a s/c is what you want you'll never regret it. My motor is stock and has around 3000 miles with boost. No issues. Sorry I jumped around in my response but you get the idea.

For trail riding, I love it. Fast throttle response. Easy as hell to install and use the stock fuel tank. Easy to remove as well, when/if you decide to sell the sled.

The gems box could use some vamping though. Thinking about going to a pc5 setup for fuel control. The gems controller does work okay though. I get around 10mpg...less if I am hammering it all day.

All in all, great little set up.

How much boost would you want to start with and how much could you see yourself ever using on your sled? That really starts the questions about how to start, or what you will need

Had to edit my post....

the belts and oil are not that bad in costs. Just payed $40 for the crank belt, and $60 for the 16oz oil.

1Crazysledder. I had not heard that you should change the belt like that. I ran mine for two years and only broke it cause I had it to tight.

I thought someone awhile ago told me that. Can't remember who, Alan, mack, matt, but I have had the same belt for quite awhile also. Only reason I am changing it is because I can see an outline of the drive gogs on the outside. I will use it for a spare if I have to, or keep the new one as a spare and run her until she blows.

Hey Pro, I think he means he's running Ulmer Stage 1 clutch kit, not Stage 1 turbo kit.....

This ^^

Thanks for the input guys. Basically want it to be rideable on trails and still be able to use pump gas. I do not want to have to use any race fuel.

Not only rideable, but 100 times more fun. The fun factor is huge. I run 7 lbs. with 93 pump gas. Two years and nothing but fun. THE Nytro also runs 7 on pump 93.

Have had the MPI S/C for 2 years now, no trouble, nothing different than the fun factor!!! Loose just a little MPG, but way worth it.

2005 RX 1 Limited.

Stage 1 MPI 5.5 lbs until this year. No issues , 7000 km.

Sold it to a friend who is a Doo gearhead so he took it to Woody for a 10 lb upgrade. Woody says she looks like new inside.

One heck of a sled.
