A good friend and riding buddy just sorted out what sled to buy next by picking up two more Sidewinders....he now has four and should be good to go for a long time into the future.
I bought one of the "cheap Riots" this year from Country Cat. I was able to log just under 1,000 miles in another short season. Absolutely love it so far. 146 is great, still trails well, power steering is a game changer. So far, best sled I've ever owned & I've owned a lot.I picked up a 2024 Riot9000 yesterday. Traded my 22 GT.
I figured if they weren't making these anymore, I better get one now.
It was between a Riot and a 25 XTX. They were the same price. The Riot was 2:45 away and the closest XTX was 8 hours away.
I went with the closer one. I also wanted to try the CAT clutching.
I may have a yard sale for Yamaha clutch's and parts.
I looked at those. A great deal for sure!! I could have saved @ $4000. Unfortunately, they don't ship, and it was a 22-hour one way drive for me.I bought one of the "cheap Riots" this year from Country Cat. Run the cobra track till it starts shed'n lugs, it will shed lugs! My spirited riding style caused mine start shed'n lugs during the second season with just over 3000 miles.I looked at those. Impressions on the 1.6 Cobra track? I keep going back and forth on whether to change it or not.
I feel the same way, rode a new 858 in Oldforge, didn't care for it. 998 really spoils ya.I rode an 858 a few weeks ago. After 12 years of riding 4 strokes, I was not impressed with it. I expect to keep my Tcat for a long time. If Acat survives and continues to use the 998, perhaps we will see a new Tcat in the future.
ANY two stroke feels weak after riding a turbo 4 stroke....I feel the same way, rode a new 858 in Oldforge, didn't care for it. 998 really spoils ya.
AGREE!!!ANY two stroke feels weak after riding a turbo 4 stroke....
The same could be said about the Doo 900R. We picked up a new 850 VR1 for my wife, and it is faster everywhere compared to my 900R.ANY two stroke feels weak after riding a turbo 4 stroke....
ouch, are you going to remedy that? The same could be said about the Doo 900R. We picked up a new 850 VR1 for my wife, and it is faster everywhere compared to my 900R.
I am not sure. Riding her new sled was a bit of an eye opener. There is a lot I liked about the Polaris better than my Lynx. Her sled has Dynamix and it is a slot car. The gauge, brakes, headlight, and handling were all favorable compared to what I currently have.ouch, are you going to remedy that?
