On freshly groomed or hardpack, they should be fine. Deep or too loose and trails will suck.
I ran them on my Mt. Max's last year. Same time I purchased the first set, I bought two new sets of shaper bars to reload the stock skis for spring riding. The Gen II's worked so well in our conditions that we never swapped back. No groomed trails....roads, trails, deep powder to spring snow. Wife jumped on my sled to ride our daughter out of the mountains and ordered the second set.

i installed same skis on my Apex Ltx. Float's fine. I can stop n go in 2+ ft of powder with no problems, They get a wiked bite on trails and have very good cornering. its very good ski but $$$
