    2022 Preorder build dates/delivery dates

My SRX order was cancelled as well. Ordered on April 2nd, Yamaha rep called in late September to confirm order. Dealer called last week to deliver the news.

STV: 2021 Yamaha Sidewinder SRX is here for a First Burn!

I’m liking the 1” track so far as well in the right conditions. 96 trigger studs 1/2” penetration. It hooks very well on hard pack Trails / ice. Rolls very efficient and fast. Not so impressive on soft chewed up trails. MCX at 17lbs

    Got some HP now! :)

Great setup Tarzan, I like how that Apex oil tank fits in there. Have you deleted reverse?

    Deleting Reverse

I like the idea for those who don’t need it, saves substantial weight and eliminate complexity. Also removing rotating mass can’t hurt driveline efficiency. Hurricane has a replacement jackshaft available for reverse delete. There may be another simple way of holding that top sprocket?

Picked up my 4 wheel kit

Goood to hear the RTX 129” application works well. Regarding the big wheel theory, my thought is it would make sense to evenly spread load over the length of the slider surfaces rather than concentrate load on the rear axle wheels. My understanding is the rear wheels act as a mechanism to...

Picked up my 4 wheel kit

This Larson kit looks great, and I like their thoughts on wheel sizing for the Sidewinder applications. I feel some of the other wheel kits out there, at 8.5” are too large on our 137” application. They protrude well below the bottom of slides, which can’t be as efficient as stock size...

    Digging the MTX

I agree on the front clip, amazing difference in steering and handling. I finished installing one this year. You can push it hard at high speed through corners on uneven terrain moguls etc, it stays true and flat.

    Digging the MTX

I agree 100%. The Nytro ergos hard to beat. Rode back to back the other night, with a Sidewinder BTX, Which is a great sled. But something about those Nytros (with improved suspension).

FRUSTRATED with Yamaha... Chaincase Blown at 400 miles

I agree, jam nut not tight from the factory. One ride 140 miles total on the sled. Lost some oil, but caught early enough I think.

FRUSTRATED with Yamaha... Chaincase Blown at 400 miles

Found the chain tension adjuster backed out on mine as well.

FRUSTRATED with Yamaha... Chaincase Blown at 400 miles

I noticed last night Oil drops on floor below Chain case at 140 miles on a 2018 LTX LE. Will investigate tonight.

    Petro-Can Ultra 94 - Information thread

I ran 100LL for the 2015 season in a boosted application around 18psi and noted a few negative things which have prompted me to switch fuels: - lazy throttle response - difficult cold starts - slight buildup of residue on the spark plugs and exhaust valves (noticed when replacing exhaust...
